There are two levels of membership in the OSMA.


The first level is the actual board of directors which consists of miners and claim holders in the Lake and Harney County Sunstone areas.


In order to qualify for membership at this level an individual or company, must hold legal mining claims or have a Oregon Sunstone producing operation in the lake or Harney county area. Members at the board level must also sign an agreement and affidavit that under no circumstances will they artificially enhance Oregon Sunstone by any means or method, nor will they knowingly sell rough or cut, Oregon Sunstones to anyone that might treat or enhance it in any way.


Board members may use the OSMA logo and the fact that they are a member, to represent that they are selling 100% natural Oregon Sunstones from the Lake and Harney county mining areas. To apply for board membership, please click here.


The second level is an associate membership.


To qualify for associate membership an individual or company that sells Oregon Sunstones, or jewelry containing Oregon Sunstone, must be sponsored by a board member, apply for associate membership and pay annual dues of $350.00. Associate members my use the OSMA logo and the fact that they are a member of OSMA to represent that they are selling 100% natural Oregon Sunstones from the Lake and Harney county mining areas.

Both Board and associate memberships may be revoked at any time if it is determined by the board that the individual or company has violated the fact or spirit of the membership agreement. Members must agree to do business in a moral and responsible manner and not discredit the association in any way.
